The need for safer indoor and outdoor spaces for young people to use was among the many issued raised as Fingal’s Youth Council, known as Comhairle na nÓg, met in Swords this week.

Fingal County Council’s Events Unit has announced the allocation of €525,000 in funding to 101 groups and organisations across the county as part of its Festival and Events Funding Programme for 2025.

The events programme is a new initiative by the Biodiversity Team and presents a variety of outdoor and indoor events for the public, most of them free of charge.
