Proposed School Zone Safety Improvements - Stapolin Educate Together National School, Myrtle Road & Myrtle Square, Oldtown, Co. Dublin

Fingal County Council is proposing to implement school zone safety improvements along Myrtle Road and Myrtle Square, serving Stapolin Educate Together National School.
These works form part of Fingal County Council’s ongoing programme of local (non–Safe Routes to School) school zone safety improvements.

Overview of Works

The scheme will enhance pedestrian safety and improve crossing facilities in the school area.These works aim to improve safety for students and the wider community.

Key Improvements Proposed

• Installation of raised zebra crossings at key school access points
• Application of buff coloured surfacing to highlight the school zone
• Provision of bollards to separate pedestrians from traffic
• Installation of School Ahead, SLOW and School Keep Clear markings
• Introduction of traffic management measures, including one-way arrangements
• Installation of tactile paving at crossing locations
