Active Travel and Sport, in partnership with Active Cities, is delighted to be hosting MOVE at Swords Castle, a free community wellbeing and fitness event taking place on: Sunday, June 7th 11:30am – 3:00pm.
Set against the stunning and historic backdrop of Swords Castle, this unique event promises a fantastic afternoon of movement, energy and community spirit in one of Fingal’s most iconic locations. The beautiful surroundings of the castle grounds will create an unforgettable atmosphere for families, participants and visitors of all ages.
MOVE at Swords Castle is all about celebrating physical activity, health and wellbeing in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Throughout the day there will be:
- Live fitness sessions on the Main Stage
- Yoga and seated exercise classes
- Family fitness activities
- Wellness and lifestyle talks
- learn-to-lift sessions
- Body composition analysis
- Healthy snacks and refreshments
Activities and sessions will run continuously throughout the afternoon, giving everyone an opportunity to get involved, try something new and enjoy the incredible setting of Swords Castle while getting active.
This promises to be a vibrant and memorable community event, showcasing the importance of active living while highlighting one of Fingal’s most treasured landmarks.
Getting to Move at Swords Castle
We’re encouraging everyone attending Move at Swords Castle to travel actively where possible!
Walk, Cycle or Use public transport
Please note: There will be NO parking available at Swords Castle during the event.
Extra bike racks will be available on site for anyone cycling.
Parking around Swords is currently limited due to ongoing road works.
If you do need to drive, the nearest larger public car parks are:
• Pavilions Shopping Centre (paid parking after 2 hours)
• Public paid parking at the rear of the Swords retail district
