Climate Heroes Challenge in our Community Centres
This year, Dublin Climate Action takes place between 12th and 18th May. As part of the festival of events, many Community Centres across the county will be participating in a Climate Heroes challenge.
Climate Heroes is an initiative of Global Action Plan, who have successfully partnered with Fingal County Council to run a number of previous challenges.
The aim of the competition is to show how each person and group can use simple and effective measures t reduce their own climate footprint on a daily basis, both at home and in work. Climate friendly activities can include using a keep cup, cycling or walking to work, using public transport, airdrying clothes, eating vegetarian and locally produced food, among many other activities that the challenge will highlight.
For the 2025 challenge, Community Centres are invited to enter a team comprised of their staff, volunteers or users. The Community Centre Challenge will commence on Tuesday 6th May and run through to Sunday 18th May. Teams can register using the links below and add participants while on the portal.
