Fingal Arts Office announces series of free workshops in Mulhuddart

Fingal County Council Arts Office is delighted to announce 'Marks of Mulhuddart: Here & Now' - a new, free creative programme for adults centered on Mulhuddart, explored through publication related artforms. Programmed and funded through Fingal's Public Art Programme and supported by Mulhuddart Community Centre and Parslickstown House. Explore Mulhuddart through Photography, Illustration and Comic, and Print. The first instalment of the programme begins this October 2026, with more to be announced!

October 12th: Join Beta Bajgart for six weeks learning photography techniques and storytelling through camera. Beta is a Dublin-based filmmaker and photographer known for impactful work that addresses social justice, environmental conservation, and human rights. She collaborates with communities and organisations to tell stories that resonate featuring themes of resilience, care, and belonging.

October 13th: Over three weeks, research and showcase local, current news through illustration and comic, with Harry Burton, a political cartoonist and illustrator that's worked for multiple domestic and international publications including the Irish Independent, Irish Examiner, the Private Eye and the Times of London.

October 16th: Mulhuddart will also get inked, with David McGinn, artist, printmaker and technical manager specialising in multiplate copper editions, and Sophie Hanna Hayes, visual artist and printmaker with a special interest in combining written word, language and imagery, both joining from Black Church Print Studios! You can bring along your own Mulhuddart image to recreate in print through three workshops.
