Bathing Water Quality results 9th September

The results of the Bathing Water Quality samples collected on 07.09.2026 were received today.

All designated bathing waters achieved an Excellent classification.

Malahide, which is not a designated bathing water, achieved a Good classification.

As Balbriggan has returned an Excellent result, the Do Not Swim notice put in place on 02 September will now be removed.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at https://www.beaches.ie/
