Bathing Water Quality Results 2nd September

The results of resamples at Claremont Beach, Portmarnock Beach, and Rush North Beach, as well as the sample results for Balbriggan Beach have been received.

The results for Claremont Beach, Portmarnock Beach and Rush North Beach were all within the Excellent classification range. As a result, the Do Not Swim notice for Claremont Beach and the Prior warning notice for Rush North Beach will be removed. However, due to significant rainfall which is forecast for Thursday evening, a further prior warning notice will be erected at Portmarnock Beach later today as a precautionary measure.

The sample result for Front Strand, Balbriggan fell within the Poor classification range. Consequently, the existing Prior Warning notice will be removed and replaced with a Do Not Swim notice.
