Do Not Swim in place for Burrow Beach
Fingal County Council advises that a ‘Do Not Swim’ notice has been issued for Burrow Beach in Sutton after a sewage overflow.
Due to 10 hours of an Uisce Éireann sewage emergency overflow at Burrow Beach in Sutton, a Prohibition notice has been put in place with immediate effect and will remain in place for at least 5 days. The EPA and HSE have been notified.
Beach users are asked to respect the ‘Do Not Swim’ notice as it has been put in place to ensure that the health of bathers is not compromised.
Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at https://ow.ly/ZCg550Z8nsJ.
