Temporary nighttime closure of section of the N3, between junction 2 and 3

Update April 29th

Beams were placed over the N3 at Junction 2, Snugborough Interchange, during 4 nights this week. No further road closures will now take place at this time for these works.

Please be advised that Fingal County Council has made an order temporarily closing the section of the N3 between junction 2 and 3 from 9.30pm to 5.00am each night from Monday 25th April 2022 until Sunday 1st May 2022 to facilitate the installation of beams in conjunction with the construction of a new bridge at Snugborough Road Interchange at Junction 2.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted. 

The following is a summary of planned closures:

Monday 25th N3 outbound to Navan closure

Tuesday 26th N3 outbound to Navan closure

Wednesday 27th N3 inbound to Dublin closure

Thursday 28th N3 inbound to Dublin closure

The programme of closures may have to change during the course of work.

ROADS ACT 1993 – SECTION 75 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SECTION OF N3 BETWEEN JUNCTION 2 AND
JUNCTION 3
Fingal County Council has made an order temporarily closing the section of the N3 between junction 2 and 3 from 9.30pm to 5.00am each night from Monday 25th April 2022 until Sunday 1st May 2022 to facilitate the installation of beams in conjunction with the construction of a new bridge at Snugborough Road Interchange at Junction 2.
During the course of the works the inbound and outbound carriageways will not be closed at the same time.

Alternative Routes available are via slip roads at Junction 2 and Junction 3 as follows:
Outbound vehicles travelling on the N3 to Navan will divert via off slip at Snugborough Interchange, then straight to roundabout on the L3020, then right to R121 Blanchardstown road north, then left onto Mulhuddart Interchange Bridge, then right to on slip to N3 out-bound at Junction 3 N3.
Inbound vehicles travelling on the N3 towards Dublin will divert Via the off slip at Junction 3 Mulhuddart Interchange, right onto the L3020, then straight to roundabout on L3020, then left to Snugborough Interchange, then left to Snugborough bridge R843, then right to on slip at junction 2 N3. 
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted.

Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
