Bord Bia Bloom 2026: Fingal Nurturing Communities Through Nature

Each year, Fingal County Council proudly sponsors the design, planting, and construction of a show garden for Bord Bia Bloom, highlighting creativity, sustainability, and community‑focused landscape design.

In 2024, the Council unveiled the award‑winning “Coming Home to Nature” Show Garden, which received exceptional recognition with four prestigious medals. The garden achieved a Gold Medal, was awarded Best in Show Large Garden, and also received accolades for Best Construction Team and Most Sustainable Garden.

Show Garden 2026: Fingal Nurturing Communities Through Nature

Building on this success, Fingal County Council returns to Bord Bia Bloom this year with “Nurturing Communities Through Nature.” a garden themed around community gardening.

The garden is designed by Áit Urbanism + Landscape Ltd, an award-winning landscape architecture and urban design practice based Dublin.

The garden embraces the rising movement of community gardening, being a welcoming, inclusive space where residents can meet their neighbours, build connections, gain skills, and reconnet with nature. With the primary aim is to encourage residents to grow seasonal produce together, while encouraging the development of gardening skills, plant knowledge, and a strong sense of community.

The garden will be relocated to Brackenstown Walled Garden, near Swords where a community gardening group will be established. Fingal County Council are currently restoring the walled garden, and all elements from the garden are intended to be re-homed in this new space.
