ANCA has today launched a public consultation on Aircraft Noise at Dublin Airport.

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority has published contour maps showing the averaged aircraft noise exposure for 2019 for the areas surrounding Dublin Airport.

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority has published its annual report for 2020. The report provides an overview of the governance and functions of the Competent Authority. It includes a review of ANCA’s programme of work delivered in 2020 and a look ahead to its upcoming programme of work for 2021.

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority (ANCA) has commenced an assessment of the noise situation at Dublin Airport following a planning application (Planning reference F20A/0668) recently made by the Dublin Airport Authority to Fingal County Council’s Planning Department.  

An application to alter planning conditions associated with operating restrictions at Dublin Airport has been made by the airport authority to Fingal County Council’s Planning Department. In fulfilling its statutory remit, ANCA is now commencing an assessment of the noise situation at Dublin Airport. 

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority has published an overview report on aircraft noise mitigation.

ANCA is responsible for ensuring that the Dublin Airport Noise Insulation Scheme applies to all homes in an area that is referred to as a “defined noise contour”. The contour is the perimeter, or border, of the area that is identified as being eligible for insulation.

The report introduces the Authority, summarises its operations in 2019 and provides insight on its future work.
