Temporary Road Closures

It is proposed that Quickpenny Road in Lusk area will be closed for the purpose of resurfacing the road. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 08.00am to 18.00pm each day from Monday 16th June to Friday 27th June 2025. See: Advert and Map

It is proposed that Dublin Road, Lusk, Co. Dublin, will be closed for the purpose of facilitating road re-surfacing after alterations to the existing Stormwater Network on Station Road, Dublin Road & Main Street. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 26th May to 13th June 2025 from 09:00 until 17:00.

It is proposed that Red Island, Skerries, Co. Dublin, will be closed for the purpose of excavation works to form foundations and construct a retaining wall at the rear of a property. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 23rd of June 2025 to 11th of July 2025 from 07:00 until 18:00. See 1st Advert and Map.

It is proposed that Old Barrack Road, Rush, Co. Dublin, will be closed for the purpose of ESB duct installation. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 23rd of June 2025 to 28th of June 2025 for 24 hours per day. See 1st Advert and Map

It is proposed that Balheary Road in Swords will be closed to facilitate road surfacing works. It is proposed that the road will be closed from the 9th of June 2025 until 18th of June 2025 from 7:30am until 5:30pm. See Advert and Map1.

It is proposed that sections along the L-5110 and L-5105 in the Gracedieu-Roscall (south of R129) and Balheary townlands(north of Balheary Ave) will be closed for the purpose of installing ducts within roadway for Mainscourt Solar Farm grid connection. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 26th May 2025 to 13th of June 2025 for 24 hours per day. Permitted working hours shall be between 07:00hrs and 22:00hrs Monday to Friday and between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs on Saturdays.  See advert, Gracedieu TMP, Gracedieu diversions, Roscall TMP, Roscall diversions.

Fingal County Council has programmed traffic surveys between the 14th to 30th of May 2025. CCTV cameras will be deployed at various locations within the Swords, Malahide, Kinsealy and surrounding areas, for the purpose of collecting roadside video footage, for traffic flow statistics.  See notice 

Fingal County Council has made an order for the temporary road closure of Churchfields Link Road. The purpose of this road closure is to facilitate the completion of alterations to roadside kerb and existing surface water drainage. The road will be closed 24 hours a day from Monday 5th of May 2025 to Monday 26th May 2025.  See Advert and Map for more details.

Proposed closure various roads Rolestown for 5km fun run in aid of Fingal Ravens GFC and Rolestown National School from 9.45am to 11.45am on Sunday 18th May 2025. See 1st Advert.

Fingal County Council have made an order to temporarily close Harlockstown Lane,  for the purpose of installing ducts for Mainscourt Solar Farm grid connection. The road will be closed from 5th of May 2025 to 6th of June 2025 for 24 hours per day. Permitted working hours shall be between 07:00hrs and 22:00hrs Monday to Friday and between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs on Saturdays. See Advert  Map  Diversion

Following an application from Global Rail Services, it is proposed that the L1285 in the Skerries area will be closed from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Thursday 15th May 2025 to facilitate a road reinstatement. See advert and map.

Road Works Speed Limit Order Road Works Speed Limit of 50 km/h on part of Balheary Road, Swords, Co. Dublin to facilitate the carrying out of an Active Travel Scheme. On Balheary Road to a point 600m north of its junction with the Glen Ellan Road and to a point 50m west of its junction with Balheary Road. The Road Works Speed Limit will be in effect from the 2nd of April 2025 to the 1st of April 2026. See advert and map.

Fingal County Council has made an order to temporarily close various non-national roads in the Balbriggan/Swords Operational Area to facilitate road resurfacing works being carried out by the Operations Department at various intervals between 1st May 2025 and 1st December 2025. See advert.

We are looking at the provision of traffic calming measures in Naul Village. The scheme would include ramps, road signage and road markings. You can see what's envisaged with Ad1 and Map1. Plans and particulars of the Scheme are available for inspection in the County Hall in Swords, at Balbriggan Library and at the Seamus Ennis Centre. Fingal would like to give notice that it has prepared Schemes for the provision of traffic calming measures at the following locations:

 

The existing Bath Road Car Park is temporarily closed from 29 January 2025 until April 2025 as it undergoes a major upgrade. While these works are being carried out, there are 50 parking spaces available nearby at the new Overflow Car Park also located on Bath Road.

On site development works are expected to begin in the week commencing 12 August 2024 at Bremore Castle Car Park in Balbriggan. These works will take several months to complete.

Temporarily closure of Seatown Road from the Junction of St Columcille’s Drive/Seatown Road to the Junction of North Street/Seatown Road. This period will be 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026.
