Tourism is returning to strong growth and continues to play a hugely influential role in Fingal’s economic success. Appropriately one of the three core objectives of the Fingal County Council Corporate Plan 2015-2019 is to strengthen the proposition and marketing of tourism in Fingal through its tourism plan and engagement with key stakeholders.
Fingal Skills Strategy
Fingal County Council has launched the Fingal Skills Strategy, the first of its kind to be developed by any Local Authority in Ireland. The Strategy sets out specific actions such as developing new training courses, increasing course provision, and building relationships and links with employers, educational institutions and other stakeholders.

Dublin Economic Monitor
The Dublin Economic Monitor is a joint initiative on behalf of the four Dublin local authorities to track developments in the capital’s economy. The Dublin City Region (i.e. the 4 Dublin local authorities combined) plays an increasingly important role in the economy of Ireland and it is important that its performance is properly tracked.
