The Architects Department is responsible for the provision of Architectural Services to Fingal County Council. We provide architectural & urban design, project & cost management, coupled with conservation services. As a design practice we play an active role in promoting architectural standards within the built environment.

The Environment Department is responsible for taking care of the natural wealth of Fingal, including landfill, recycling, litter enforcement, street cleaning, burial grounds, pollution and air quality, environmental awareness and education, and contributing to energy efficiency and action on climate change.

The Housing Department provides accommodation for those who need it through social housing and the Housing Assistance Payment, manages social housing properties and schemes, and adds to social housing stock through building, purchasing, and leasing projects.

The Planning Department works to ensure positive and sustainable development of our resources, infrastructure and buildings by implementing the County Development Plan, deciding on planning permission, and monitoring compliance with planning law and planning permissions.

The Libraries Department provides public access to books, multimedia, cultural events and technology through ten library branches, four mobile library vans and at Local Studies and Archives.

The Sports Office develops, supports and promotes programmes, groups and opportunities for athletic and sporting pursuits and teams in Fingal.

The Finance Department prepares budgets and statements, collects commercial rates and local property tax, controls day-to-day and capital funding and finances, and operates the Cash Office.

The Community Department strives to support and advance our communities in various ways. The Community Development Office works to put people and communities first. The Corporate Affairs and Governance department provides support for the democratic functions and corporate support and strategic planning to the organisation.
