Open the door to heritage is the message from the Heritage Council as National Heritage Week 2021 is launched.  Culture and heritage groups, as well as communities, families and individuals in Fingal are invited to get involved and celebrate and share heritage. National Heritage Week will run from Saturday, 14th to Sunday, 22nd August, and has become one of Ireland’s largest cultural heritage events. 

Fingal County Council has welcomed the news that all eight applications from Fingal to the Community Monuments Fund have been successful with a total of €270,000 awarded.

Fingal County Council are delighted to announce, in partnership with the Irish Coast Guard and Howth SAAO Committee, that a new safety initiative for Howth has been completed. The innovative network of safety signage is now in place on the Howth Looped Paths walking trails.

Primary Schools across Fingal are to receive a weather station rain gauge as part of an effort by Fingal County Council to produce more detailed rainfall records for the county.
