Temporary Road Closures

Fingal County Council have made an order to temporarily close Harlockstown Lane, Co. Dublin for the 
purpose of installing cables for the Mainscourt Solar Farm grid connection. It is proposed that the road  will be closed from 18th November 2025 to 6th December 2025 from 07.00 to 19.00 each day. See 2nd advert, traffic management plan, and diversion routes.

An application has been received from Traffic Solutions Ltd for permission to temporarily close Dublin Road, Lusk, Co. Dublin for the purpose of facilitating the  cutting of vehicle induction loops. It is proposed that the roads will be closed on the  26th of November 2025 from 10:00hrs until 16:00hrs. See 1st advert,, diversion routes, and traffic management plan 1, 2, and 3.

Fingal County Council has made an order for the temporary road closure of Church  Street, Howth, Co Dublin from Harbour Road to its junction with Howth Terrace  and Dunbo Hill.  The purpose of this closure is to facilitate surface water drainage works. The period of the proposed temporary closure will be from 9:00am on Monday  10th of November 2025 to 5.00pm on Friday 19th of December 2025. See 2nd advert.

An application has been received from Suir Engineering for permission to temporarily close Balheary Road, Swords, Co. Dublin for the purpose of cable installation. It 
is proposed that the roads will be closed from 24th of November 2025 to 10th of 
December 2025 for 24 hours per day.  See 1st advert, traffic management plan, and diversion routes.

An application has been made by GMC Utilities on behalf of Irish Water to temporarily close part of Coill Dubh Court, Malahide to facilitate drinking water connection works. The proposed closure will be from 9:00am 24th November to 5pm 28th November. See 1st advert.

Various roads in Donabate will be temporarily closed for the purpose of holding a 4 mile road race. The roads will be closed from 10:30am to 2:00pm on Sunday the 16th of November 2025. Fingal County Council has made an Order to temporarily close Roscall and Gracedieu Road, Co. Dublin for the purpose of facilitating a horizontal directional drill under R129. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 29th of October 2025 to 28th of November 2025 for 24 hours per day. Permitted working hours shall be between 07:00hrs and 20:00hrs Monday to Friday and between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs on Saturdays. See Ad 1, Ad 2 and details of the road closures.

We wish to advise that Harbour Road and Seapoint Lane Junction in Balbriggan will be closed for the purpose of resurfacing works and the construction of a new step area. It is proposed this will be from 9th October 2025 to 27th November 2025 for 24 hours per day. Permitted working hours shall be between 08.00 to 18.00 each day. See advert and Map.

On site development works are nearing completion at Bremore Castle Car Park in Balbriggan, with 50% now open. It is expected to be fully open by the end of September 2025 month with 111 spaces. 

Road Works Speed Limit Order of 50 km/h on part of Balheary Road, Swords to facilitate the carrying out of an Active Travel Scheme. On Balheary Road to a point 600m north of its junction with the Glen Ellan Road and to a point 50m west of its junction with Balheary Road. The Road Works Speed Limit will be in effect from the 2nd of April 2025 to the 1st of April 2026. See advert and map.

Fingal County Council has made an order to temporarily close various non-national roads in the Balbriggan/Swords Operational Area to facilitate road resurfacing works being carried out by the Operations Department at various intervals between 1st May 2025 and 1st December 2025. See advert.

We are looking at the provision of traffic calming measures in Naul Village. The scheme would include ramps, road signage and road markings. You can see what's envisaged with Ad1 and Map1. Plans and particulars of the Scheme are available for inspection in the County Hall in Swords, at Balbriggan Library and at the Seamus Ennis Centre. Fingal would like to give notice that it has prepared Schemes for the provision of traffic calming measures at the following locations:

 

Temporarily closure of Seatown Road from the Junction of St Columcille’s Drive/Seatown Road to the Junction of North Street/Seatown Road. This period will be 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026.
