Temporary Road Closures

The temporary road closure of Tuckett’s Lane in Howth has been proposed to facilitate site investigations for drainage works. This would be between Main Street as far as the junction with St. Nessan’s and St. Lawrence Terrace. Work would be carried out from 9:30am on Monday 25 August until 5pm on Friday 29 August 2025. Proposed further Temporary Road Closure of L-1025 Ballymadun Road, Ballymadun, Co. Dublin, for the purpose of resurfacing the road. A further road closure has been approved from 16th August until the 29th August 2025 from 08.00 to 18.00 each day. No works shall take place on Sundays and Bank Holidays. See 1st Advert and Map

Balheary Road, Swords from Horse Hay to the Church of the Immaculate Conception will be closed from 11-29 August 2025 for 24 hours a day for the purpose of installing ducts within roadway for Mainscourt Solar Farm Grid Connection. See 2nd Advert, Map 1, Map 2

Various roads in Rush will be closed for the purpose of facilitating the Fingal Air Display Rush. It is proposed that the road will be closed on Sunday 3rd August 2025 from 14:00 to 17:00.  See 2nd advert and Map

L-5070 Road, Lispopple, Co. Dublin will be closed from 11th August until 5th September 2025 for 24 hours per day for the purpose of facilitating Lispopple Bridge Remediation.  See 2nd advert and Map

A temporary road closure of Redfern Avenue in Portmarnock has been proposed from 9am to 5:30pm each day from Monday 18 August to Friday 29 August 2025. This is to facilitate road resurfacing works. See 1st advert.

Golf Road/ Corrs Lane, Rush, Co. Dublin will be closed on August 8th for 24 hours for the purpose of the installation of a new drinking water connection. See 2nd Advert and Map.

We wish to advise that in order to facilitate the completion of the construction of a retaining wall at the rear of the property, TS Utilities Ltd have requested a further temporary road closure of Red Island Lane Skerries. This further road closure has now been approved until 1st August 2025 from 07:00 until 18:00. See Map

Fingal County Council has made an order for the temporary road closure of Porterstown Road, Clonsilla 24 Hours per day from Tuesday 1st July 2025 to Friday 29th August 2025 see Advert

Balheary Road, Swords, Co. Dublin will be closed for the purpose of installing ducts within roadway for Mainscourt Solar Farm Grid Connection. It will be closed from 14th of July 2025 to 22nd of August 2025 for 24 hours per day. See 1st Advert 2nd Advert and Map 

Link and Harbour Road, Balbriggan, will be closed from 16th of July 2025 to 16th of January 2026 for the purpose of road reconstruction and resurfacing 1st Advert 2nd Advert Traffic Management plan 1 Traffic Management plan 2

R-108-5; Cooks Lane junction to Knocksedan estate will be closed for the purpose of facilitating road surfacing works from 21st July to 18th August 2025 for 24 hours per day. See: advert, 2nd advert and map.   No works shall take place on Sundays and Bank Holidays.  

Road Works Speed Limit Order of 50 km/h on part of Balheary Road, Swords to facilitate the carrying out of an Active Travel Scheme. On Balheary Road to a point 600m north of its junction with the Glen Ellan Road and to a point 50m west of its junction with Balheary Road. The Road Works Speed Limit will be in effect from the 2nd of April 2025 to the 1st of April 2026. See advert and map.

Fingal County Council has made an order to temporarily close various non-national roads in the Balbriggan/Swords Operational Area to facilitate road resurfacing works being carried out by the Operations Department at various intervals between 1st May 2025 and 1st December 2025. See advert.

We are looking at the provision of traffic calming measures in Naul Village. The scheme would include ramps, road signage and road markings. You can see what's envisaged with Ad1 and Map1. Plans and particulars of the Scheme are available for inspection in the County Hall in Swords, at Balbriggan Library and at the Seamus Ennis Centre. Fingal would like to give notice that it has prepared Schemes for the provision of traffic calming measures at the following locations:

 

The existing Bath Road Car Park is temporarily closed from 29 January 2025 onwards as it undergoes a major upgrade. While these works are being carried out, there are 50 parking spaces available nearby at the new Overflow Car Park also located on Bath Road. . It is envisaged that the upgrade will be complete, and the carpark reopened by beginning of August 2025.

On site development works are ongoing at Bremore Castle Car Park in Balbriggan. These works will take several months to complete and it is envisaged that the upgrade will be complete, and the carpark reopened by beginning of August 2025.

Temporarily closure of Seatown Road from the Junction of St Columcille’s Drive/Seatown Road to the Junction of North Street/Seatown Road. This period will be 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026.
