Fingal County Council, and the National Transport Authority, called today a milestone occasion as they launched two completed projects as part of the Church Fields Masterplan in Dublin 15.

Fingal County Council has advised people living in the Dublin 15 area that, as part of the construction work on the Snugborough Interchange in Blanchardstown, the existing pedestrian underpass will close today (May 17). This is necessary to complete the works safely.

Following a competitive tender process, Fingal County Council has appointed BAM Civil Ltd. to undertake the construction of the Snugborough Interchange Upgrade Scheme in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Fingal County Council is pleased to announce that the Church Fields Link Road and Cycle Network Project was granted planning permission by the elected members at the full council meeting held in June.

The upgrade of the Rathbeale Road in Swords has been officially opened by the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Eoghan O’Brien.The road, which is part of the R125 Swords to Ashbourne route, has been reopened to traffic since March 20 but, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the planned official opening could not take place. Instead, a simple ceremony to unveil a commemorative stone, was held.
