Housing construction underway in one of the country’s fastest growing regions was in the spotlight today, as the Taoiseach Micheál Martin visited Fingal to see new homes being built at one of Fingal County Council’s flagship developments in Dublin 15.

Fingal County Council Libraries Department is delighted to announce the introduction of a new Fingal Mobile Library stop at Castleknock Community Centre which takes place every second Thursday afternoon from 3:15pm – 4:15pm.

A big part of our service at Fingal Libraries is to provide stories, crafts, and special events to the public. When the first lockdown was introduced in March 2020, Fingal Libraries quickly moved its services online to create content over the course of the year. While we very much miss being able to provide these services in-person to our wonderful patrons, we were happy to make them available for free online for all to enjoy.

Laura from Balbriggan Library reads "When a dragon comes to stay" by Caryl Hart and Rosalind Beardshaw, a story about how a dragon must learn to be on her best behaviour when visiting friends.

Patrick from Donabate Library reads "Oi cat" by Kes Gray & Jim Field, a book jam-packed with animals and silliness.
