More than 100 athletes, families, coaches, volunteers, and community representatives came together on 10 February at the Carnegie Court Hotel to celebrate and wish well the Fingal athletes who will compete in the Special Olympics Ireland Games this June.

As part of the Future Fingal: Fingal Skills Strategy, Fingal County Council hosted a Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Briefing at Baldoyle Training Centre, bringing together industry, education/training and government stakeholders.

Five outstanding businesses shortlisted for this year’s competition. Top finalist to receive €5,000, with €1,000 awarded to each remaining finalist. Winner to be announced during Local Enterprise Week.

Fingal County Council has marked the commencement of works on the Seatown Road to Estuary Road Active Travel Scheme with a sod‑turning event

Funding has been secured for the installation of a Rock Armour Revetment at Burrow Beach, Portrane, to prevent further erosion of this section of coastline which is threatening homes in the area.

Bike Week is a week-long celebration of the benefits of cycling and the  National Transport Authority has awarded €16,522 in funding for Bike Week 2026 activities to Fingal County Council.
