Fingal Libraries very first Fingal Festival of Children’s Literature was launched on 7 September by the Mayor of Fingal Cllr. Howard Mahony at Swords Castle.
Fingal celebrated a wonderful day of Ukrainian poetry, dance and music as Swords Castle played host to a special Family Fun Day that recognised the strong relationships fostered over the past six months between the residents in Fingal and Ukrainians who have arrived in the County since the beginning of the armed conflict.
Judging in the 2022 IPB Pride of Place Competition in Fingal takes place next week on Tuesday and Wednesday September 13 and 14, with three groups ready to represent the county in the annual north-south competition which showcases the best examples of community development on the island of Ireland.
Welcome to Fingal’s sixth annual Festival of History which will run from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th October 2022 across a number of Fingal branches, and Swords Castle. After two years of online talks and events we can finally welcome back live audiences. Our programme this year is a celebration of the abundance of historians who live within Fingal and who have researched numerous facets of Fingal life.
Cricket Leinster Youth Fingal made a successful return to Merseyside having previously visited there in 2019, securing not only a winning record but more importantly reinforcing friendships which will have a lasting impact with all involved.
