Fingal County Council Arts Office is pleased to announce five Fingal artists have been selected to participate in the Artist Mentoring Programme 2026. The five professional artists selected are Maria Atanacković, Aoife Concannon, Chirs Forrester, Nathan Lowry and Beata Piekarska-Daly.

Fingal County Council is pleased to announce that the Public Realm phase of the landmark Swords Cultural Quarter project will commence this week, marking the next stage in a development that is already well underway. Building on the progress achieved to date, this phase will further transform the area around Swords Castle into a welcoming, pedestrian-friendly civic space at the heart of the County Town. 

Fingal Arts Office in partnership with Children’s Books Ireland and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre are pleased to announce an opportunity for artists to avail of a week-long residency, taking place  the week of 27th October, the week of the 3rd November and the week of the 10th November.

Fingal Arts Office and Fingal Libraries invite applications for the Swords Cultural Quarter Poet in Residence 2026–2027.

This year-long residency will support a poet living in or from Fingal to become a creative connector across Arts, Libraries and communities in Swords during a significant period of cultural development.

Bathing water quality in Fingal has improved significantly over the past year, according to the latest Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) report. The EPA reports that 98% of bathing waters nationally met or exceeded minimum standards in 2025, demonstrating the continued resilience of Ireland’s bathing waters.
