There will be 19 free events across the county's library network and heritage venues for this year's Festival of History

Fingal County Council Libraries is delighted to announce the return of The Magic of Stories, Fingal's festival of children's literature for 2026. This year the highly anticipated festival celebrates its fifth birthday and promises to be a day filled with fun and celebration

A report by ANCA on the effectiveness of the noise mitigation measures in place at Dublin Airport during 2025 is now available.

These warnings are being implemented as a precautionary measure in response to the forecast rainfall event and the potential associated impact on bathing water quality.

Following receipt of today's bathing water sample results, Claremont Beach, Howth has been classified as Poor.

As a result of this classification, a Do Not Swim notice will be erected at Claremont Beach.

With the exception of Claremont Beach, Howth, which was classified as Poor, all other sampled locations, including Malahide, achieved an Excellent water quality classification.

The annual compliance report of daa, as the airport authority for Dublin Airport, for the 2025 operational year is now available on the ANCA website.

Following a resample at Velvet Strand, Portmarnock, the water quality has been classified as "Excellent".

Rush Community Celebrates Another Successful Let’s Play Rush Event

Work on the Rathmore Park Recreational Sports Hub, Lusk will commence on 24th of August 2026. 

The works will include:

• Bulk earthworks, drainage, watermain installation and GNI gas main diversion works.
• A new 8-lane floodlit athletics track to World Athletics (IAAF) specification.
• New all-weather synthetic soccer pitch and GAA training pitch.
• Covered cycle parking, EV charging provisions, car park extension and associated landscaping works.
