The Rediscovery Centre’s Education Programme offer workshops that link to the curriculum through a range of subjects. Their education workshops for primary and secondary level cover a variety of environmental and STEM topics and connect to the Sustainable Development Goals. 

An Taisce, in partnership with Local Authorities, coordinates the national Green-Schools Programme, Ireland's leading environmental management and education programme for schools. Green-Schools is a student-led initiative that promotes long-term environmental action across the whole school community, involving students, teachers, staff, parents and the wider community. 

Fingal County Council, in partnership with Composting Ireland and the Eastern Midlands Regional Waste Management Office, is continuing the award-winning Composting & Recycling for Schools Programme free of charge for schools across Fingal.

Picker Pals is an excellent initiative whereby primary school’s 1st-2nd classes can sign up to receive a take-home pack (sponsored by Fingal County Council). The class circulate the pack and each child with their family members use the picker pals pack and they record the experience. 

Works along North Street in Swords will include the undergrounding of overhead services and the installation of new paving, seating, landscaping and pedestrian crossings of North Street

Fingal County Council Arts Office in partnership with the Royal Hibernia Academy announce Fingal artist Aideen Farrell as the recipient of the RHA school studio residency 2026/2028.
