Gathered Insights – a talk by Heinrich Kammeÿer, Architect + Urban Designer will take place at 4pm on Tuesday, 6 June, 2023 in the Council Chamber, County Hall, Main Street, Swords. Admission is free but attendees must register in advance by emailing  [email protected]  . 

Fingal Arts Office & Fingal Music Generation are delighted to offer free music workshops for young people at Burgundy House Swords on Saturday 10th of June in celebration of Cruinniu na nOg 2023, Creative Ireland Programme.

As part of the Music Generation Fingal project, three free workshops will take place on Saturday June 10th for Cruinniú na nÓg in Burgundy House, Swords:

Professional theatre makers Sean and Niall McDonagh will guide the children of Scoil an Duinninigh and Gaelscoil Bhrian Boroimhe (Swords) in the creation of their very own unique theatre sketches based on old Irish legends.

Children in St. Luke’s National School, Tyrrelstown, will be guided by artist Edel Clarkson in an exploration of local biodiversity and ceramic making

Celestial Mechanics presents a learning experience for children through both science and visual art. This unique engagement with children aged 10-12 years will involve artist Aileen Murphy and artist/educator Mary Jo Gilligan, and scientist Prof. Peter Gallagher. and a tour of Dunsink Observatory.

A New Beat will provide a learning experience in bodhrán, contemporary dance and movement for young people aged 12 – 18 yrs at the Seamus Ennis Arts Centre, Naul.

Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth Plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people. This year it will take place on Saturday 10th of June. This years programme brought to your by our Fingal Libraries and Arts Office will include a day long celebration of creativity in Millennium Park, Blanchardstown as well as events in our Branch Libraries, Schools and Art Centres. From having an idea to making a great video you can share with your friends, Createschool will take you through the steps in a fun, hands on and engaging taster workshop.  Balbriggan Library 10am-12pm, Malahide Library 2pm-4pm
