As part of the rejuvenation of Swords town centre, Fingal County Council are planning to build a new Civic and Cultural Centre in the heart of Fingal’s county town.
Work to upgrade and enhance the facilities and amenities of Balbriggan Harbour will start in the autumn of this year once feedback has been received from harbour users in Ireland’s youngest town.

Fingal County Council has started work to provide Protected Cycle Lanes along both sides of the R132 from Blake’s Cross to Minister’s Road. Cycle lanes make it safer for people of all ages and abilities to get around by bike.
Fingal County Council has made an order temporarily closing roads in the Swords area for the purpose of holding a Fingal 10k race. It is proposed that the roads will be closed from 6.30 am to 12.00pm Sunday 17th July 2022
