Fingal County Council is delighted to announce The Skerries Wild Bee Festival 2022, a three-day event, taking place from August 26 -28 at Skerries Mills.

The relationship of the people of Balbriggan with their beautiful sandy beach was celebrated once again at the second Beach Activity Festival, which took place on Sunday August 14.

Fingal County Council has consulted with the HSE & will continue a precautionary approach to protect bather health by keeping the temporary Do Not Swim prohibition notice in place

Ongoing elevated bacterial results (E.coli and Enterococci) have been found from seawater sampling since 25th July, 2022 at Front Strand, Balbriggan.

Gone are the days of inadequately treated wastewater from the coastal village of Loughshinny being discharged into the Irish Sea. 

New wastewater infrastructure for the north Dublin village is not only protecting bathing water quality but it will facilitate future growth of the area. 

The weekend saw another successful Let’s Play Rush gathering, the fifth event in the series under the EU URBACT project called Playful Paradigm. Many families gathered at Tayleur’s Point for a glorious day filled with sporting games and activities.
