As the Tidy Towns results were announced Fingal County Council took the opportunity to thank all the wonderful Tidy Towns Committees in Fingal and their volunteers for the fantastic work they do to enhance our towns & villages. It was another very successful year for Fingal with Gold, Silver and special award winners and increased points for all groups.

The Government’s ‘Housing For All – A New Housing Plan for Ireland ‘ proposed a new tax to activate vacant land for residential purposes as a part of the Pathway to Increasing New Housing Supply.

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority has published noise exposure contours for 2021 for the areas around Dublin Airport. An interactive map is available that facilitates the entry of an address or Eircode to examine the aircraft noise impact at a particular location down to the level of individual properties .

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority (ANCA) has undertaken a review of the effectiveness of noise mitigation measures in place at Dublin Airport.

This rich collection is made up of material that was gathered at public collection days across Fingal in 2015 and 2016 making it a truly unique snapshot of the independence and civil war artefacts and history.

Expert-led tours of the innovative Fingal County Hall (designed by Bucholz McEvoy Architects with Building Design Partnership) and behind-the-scenes access to the conservation works at Swords Castle and Malahide Castle are among the highlights of this year’s Open House Dublin, the Irish Architecture Foundation’s flagship annual festival, which this year is expanding into Fingal for the first time.

Councillors have approved Fingal County Council’s €989m three-year Capital Programme which provides for significant investment on projects across the County during period from 2023 to 2025.

Fingal children taking part in the Marathonkids programme had the pleasure of a visit from Marathonkids Ireland ambassador and former Irish Olympian, David Gillick.
