Given the historic reliance on Dublin Airport for employment opportunities and relatively young population, it is important that Swords and particularly the town centre is promoted as a leading place to work and live as part of Sustainable Swords in order to optimise liveability.
All buildings have a value – even of only as embodied energy and through this asset all buildings have potential; that can be realised by imagination, coupled with the setting of high design standards.
This project will facilitate a sustainable approach to development and placemaking in Swords by drawing on the local context and facilitating nature-based solutions that would improve the public realm.
