The Community Monuments Fund was first established by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage July, 2020, when an allocation of €1.4 million for expenditure on improvements to archaeological monuments was announced. Funding has increased to €7.5 million in 2026.

Fingal County Council Arts Office, in partnership with MART Studios and gallery, announces the recipient of the 2025–2026 MART Studio graduate residency, Nicole Manning, a visual artist who works predominantly through the medium of paint.

The Prior Warning Notice issued for Velvet Strand Portmarnock on June 14 has now been removed following test results of excellent water quality. Balbriggan result also excellent.

All ten identified beaches, and the non-identified bathing water at Malahide (permanent red flag), met the standard of “excellent” water quality for the pre-season samples.  

'It's Written in the Rocks / Scríobhtar é sna Carraigeacha will take place on Saturday 10th May from 1- 4pm at Loughshinny Boathouse
