Get ready for the return of Ireland’s biggest children’s book festival – The Magic of Stories is back and more magical than ever! 

Vintage Picnic, a musical festival with physical and creative activities for over 55s, is back for it's third year in Swords Castle on Thursday, 5th June! This collaborative event involves Fingal's Community, Communications, Events, Libraries, Healthy Ireland, Sports, and Operations Departments and is supported by Creative Ireland. 

Age-friendly Fingal will be hosting an information event and fashion show for over 55s in the Pavilions Shopping Centre, Swords on Tuesday, 30th September; Time: 10.30 am-12.30 pm

Get ready for a day full of wonder and imagination! Fingal Libraries proudly presents the FOURTH edition of The Magic of Stories, a spectacular celebration of books, stories, and creativity – all happening at the enchanting Swords Castle on Saturday, 27th September! 

For Cruinniú na nÓg 2025, children’s author and illustrator Chris Judge (The Lonely Beast, The Great Explorer, Evil Duck and the Feather of Fortune) is collaborating with four primary schools across Swords and Malahide to create an artistic vision of what Fingal, and the world, will look like twenty years from now. 

6:00pm-8:00pm Swords Castle Chapel. Slam poetry is joining the Fingal's biggest youth festival event ever in Swords Castle for Cruinniú na nÓg!! The Chapel venue inside the castle grounds will be the setting for Wavin' Words, a more intimate stage for young poets to slam, perform or read their poems.

Age: 14+ years. Everyone welcome! No booking required. Get ready to rock Swords Castle on 7th June 4pm-9pm at We Own The Castle – a vibrant teen music festival celebrating the incredible talents of young musicians, aged 12–19. Garageland Galaxyz is thrilled to be back in Fingal for Cruinniú na nÓg 2025, bringing a tidal wave of youth-powered performances to this iconic venue!   

10:30am-11:30am Swords Library. Suitable for age 7-10 years. Small children must be accompanied by an adult.  Booking essential. Get ready for an exciting event with author and illustrator, Tarsila Krüse, as she hosts a reading and craft session for her brand-new book, A Little Birdie Told Me…

Fingal Inclusion Week 2025 is an initiative led by Fingal County Council Community Development Office. This is the sevent year Fingal Inclusion Week has taken place in Fingal. A number of events will take place across the county of Fingal from the 17th to the 23rd of November. All Fingal Inclusion Week events are free to attend and open to everyone.
