Fingal Libraries is delighted to announce that Blanchardstown Library has been awarded Library of Sanctuary status. Following the submission of an extensive portfolio to Places of Sanctuary Ireland, Blanchardstown Library has been given the Library of Sanctuary award in recognition of the consistent and innovative work that goes into making Blanchardstown library a champion for inclusion and welcome. 

Councillors voted to reduce the county’s Local Property Tax (LPT) for 2026 by five per cent at last night’s monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. The Local Property Tax had been reduced by 7.5% for the past three years so this decision will give the council an extra €1.25m in discretionary spending.

COPD Support Ireland is a charity set up to support all those living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). They are Ireland’s only national COPD support and advocacy body, bringing together local support groups from around the country, to help those living with, and caring for someone with, COPD.
