On Tuesday 16 January 2024, Fingal County Council decided to proceed with Public Realm improvements for a Pedestrianised New Street, Malahide. An award winning, multi-disciplinary design team were appointed to carry out this design, which is now complete.
Maylim has been appointed as contractor to deliver the Public Realm Improvement Works, which commenced on 27 October 2026.

As part of the project, 11 existing trees will be removed and replaced with 37 new trees, creating a more sustainable and resilient planting scheme that will support healthy tree growth for years to come.
