Water safety

Easter weekend prompts joint water safety appeal from Water Safety Ireland, the Coast Guard and RNLI

Ahead of the Easter weekend, the Coast Guard, RNLI and Water Safety Ireland are appealing for people to take some basic precautions to stay safe when they visit the coast or planning an activity on or near the water. As the clocks change and the evenings getting longer and brighter, more people are expected to get out on the water. Knowing some simple water safety advice can help prevent an accident or tragedy.

Please see a link to a press release from Water Safety Ireland, the Coast Guard and the RNLI in advance of the Easter weekend, issued Thursday 28th March:

Think Road Safety

Sadly 55 people were killed on Irish roads so far this year. This Bank Holiday weekend help us get everyone where they're going safely. Wear your seatbelt, lower your speed and never ever drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
