Fingal Inclusion Week set to excite with community activities across the County

Inclusion Week 2025

Fingal Inclusion Week is set to return for a seventh illustrious year, bringing a diverse lineup of events to communities around the County. Running from the 17th to the 23rd of November, this staple initiative organised by Fingal County Council’s Community Development Office celebrates and promotes community efforts to address social exclusion and poverty throughout the region.
Fingal County Council is encouraging and supporting 63 Community & Voluntary Groups to participate in the Inclusion Week with bursaries of up to €300. The week of events not only raises awareness about the vital work of local community groups and the Community Development Office but also shines a light on the challenges that lead to social exclusion.
In the spirit of inclusivity, events are free and include a variety of activities like cultural exchange evenings, craft and music workshops, educational talks, and community plantings. There’s something for everyone in what’s certain to be an exciting week for communities across Fingal.

Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Tom O’Leary, spoke positively on the series of events: “I'm delighted to announce the return of Fingal Inclusion Week - the result of the continuing collaboration between Fingal County Council and the many diverse community groups in the region.
That same diversity means that there's something for everyone to enjoy, and I'd like to encourage everyone to jump right in and take part in the many workshops, talks and communal activities taking place across the length and breadth of the county this coming week”

“Fingal is home to some of the most wide and varied communities in the country, and the return of Fingal Inclusion Week provides the perfect opportunity to showcase our hospitality to both new and current residents of all backgrounds.” said AnnMarie Farrelly, Chief Executive of Fingal County Council. “I'd like to thank the many teams involved in organising this year's edition and encourage all to take part in the upcoming week of events.”

Fingal Inclusion Week will host almost 80 events across the county. Participating groups include the Cairde Balbriggan, Swords Photography Group, Children4WorldChildren, Huntstown Ladies Afternoon Club and Fingal Men’s Shed Network, among others. Many of the activities will involve our local Community Centres, many of which are also running their own events such as Parslickstown House, Huntstown Family Resource Centre, Diswellstown Community & Recreation Centre and Rivervalley Community Centre. Fingal County Council will run their own events from various departments including the Local Authority Integration Team, Community Development Office, Arts and Culture Department, Sports Department and Libraries.
