Fingal gear up for Bike Week 2025

Bike Week 2025 is taking place from Saturday 10 May until Sunday 18 May. Fingal County Council is delighted to present a fun-filled programme of events, with something that caters for everyone!
This week-long event is funded by the NTA and delivered by local authorities throughout Ireland. Fingal’s Active Travel Unit have organised different activities to celebrate all things cycling.
Fingal’s list of activities includes three free family fun days: one event in Millennium Park, Blanchardstown on 10 May, another in Balbriggan on 17 May and Bike Week will wrap up with a final family fun day in Malahide Castle on 18 May.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Brian McDonagh said ‘’Bike Week is a celebration of cycling, promoting healthier lifestyles and connecting communities. With activities such as street velodrome, free bike repairs, a scavenger hunt and pop-up aquariums, I encourage everyone to get involved in the fun that the Fingal Bike Week has to offer’’.
Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly says “Bike Week is a fantastic annual event aimed at celebrating and promoting cycling. Aligning with our commitment to sustainable transport and active travel throughout the county, Bike Week is growing in popularity year on year with a full programme of activities to appeal to all ages and experience levels. Fingal County Council is proud to support Bike Week and we hope to see everyone getting involved in the wide variety of events taking place this year’’.
