Family fun and community spirit take centre stage as Flavours of Fingal returns this July
Fingal County Council is delighted to announce the return of its flagship summer event, Flavours of Fingal, taking place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2026, from 11am to 6pm at Newbridge House and Farm in Donabate.
Now celebrating its fourteenth year, the much-loved festival is refocusing on the elements that have always defined its success. With a renewed emphasis on community spirit, family-friendly experiences, local produce and Fingal’s rich agricultural heritage, this year’s event aims to bring people, businesses and communities together to showcase and celebrate the very best the county has to offer.
This year’s event has been designed to strengthen links between people and place. At its heart, the festival is about connecting rural and city life together and offering a space where families, neighbours, local businesses, and visitors can come together to share experiences, learn new skills, and support local enterprise.
With a refreshed layout, visitors will see an expanded family entertainment, increased community participation, more interactive experiences for all ages and a stronger spotlight on local growers, makers, farmers and food producers.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Tom O’Leary said: “Flavours of Fingal has always been about community, connection and celebration local culture. This year we are bringing the festival back to the heart of what people love most, quality family time, local experiences and showcasing the incredible talent and traditional across Fingal.”
Visitors can continue to expect a vibrant programme of live entertainment, food demonstrations, agricultural showcases, artisan and craft markets and family- friendly activities throughout the weekend.
Highlights of the festival include:
· Farmer’s Field: Hosted by the Fingal Farmers Group, featuring cattle classes, sheepdog trials, alpacas, pigs, and sheep. Enjoy demonstrations of traditional and modern farming methods and machinery, plus fun dance lessons including Jive, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Line Dancing.
· NEW: Fingal Food Circle: Experience the best of local food with live cookery demonstrations from Fingal chefs, “Meet the Maker” interviews, artisan stands, and the new Fingal Food Circle Produce Bag filled with local produce.
· Horticulture Tent: Run by the Fingal Horticultural Society, offering flower and gardening demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and expert advice
·Family Fun Zone: A dedicated kids’ area featuring inflatables, arts & crafts, magic shows, and circus acts. Includes a quiet zone for families who need a calm space during the event.
·Equestrian Showcase: Hosted by Fingal Harriers, with top competitions including the Gain Alltech National Grand Prix (sponsored by Joe Duffy Motors), the Mervue Leinster Tour, RDS and NIF qualifier classes, plus Trade, Private Driving, and Boppers & Trotters classes for young riders.
·Live Music & Dance: Enjoy vibrant performances in the Walled Garden, with live music, great food and drink, and free goodies available in the Fingal Village space.
