Investment of €1.72 million approved for New Projects in Rural Dublin

There is great news for rural areas in Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown with the approval of €1.72 million in funding for nine new projects.  The Dublin Rural LEADER Local Action Group (LAG) which oversees the LEADER programme in Rural Dublin approved the investment in projects at an online meeting on Thursday 30th April. The approved projects are in areas of Enterprise and Job Creation, Social Inclusion and Rural Environment.

"Cocooning - A collection of activities for those self-isolating" has been developed by the Covid-19 Fingal Community Response Project which is a collaboration between Fingal County Council, Age Friendly Fingal, Castleknock Community Centre Laurel Lodge,Blakestown Community Centre, Corduff Resource Centre and Huntstown Community Centre.

Create a Haven for Wildlife - New Heritage Officer guide

Gardening for Biodiversity is a new free booklet from the Local Authority Heritage Officer Network to help everyone to help wildlife in their gardens. The brainchild of Juanita Browne, the booklet was produced by Local Authority Heritage Officers across Ireland, with help from the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Heritage Council.
