Elections have been held for the 40 seats in seven local electoral areas across Fingal, with 12 new councillors set to join the council when it meets for the first time in the coming weeks.

The successful completion of Ireland's most extensive public lighting replacement project to date has taken place, as Fingal County Council installed its last two energy-saving LEDs across its network of roads, residential areas and public spaces.

The first sod has been turned on the new Baldoyle Community Centre.

Fingal County Council Arts Office, in partnership with the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) School, is pleased to announce the 2024 RHA Studio Award. This prestigious award offers a professional artist a funded studio space for one year, beginning in October 2024. 

Fingal County Council and Draíocht, Blanchardstown are pleased to announce the return of the Studio Residency award, offering a 4-month paid residency in Draíocht’s Artist Studio from September to December 2024.

The housing development is proposed at a site of 4.72 hectares at New Road, Donabate, Co. Dublin.

In a new collaboration with Fingal County Council, Festival in a Van gets on the road again this June for a six-day tour called Sounds Like Summer: Fingal Festival in a Van to celebrate this year’s summer solstice and create mid-summer joy with local communities in the area – bringing music, spoken word, and dance to every corner of Fingal.
