Fingal want to increase the scale and pace of housing delivery across the county in response to the recently published National Housing Guidelines. 

A number of communities across Fingal have been included in a major funding boost, with over €1 million announced for the delivery of key projects that will breathe new life into towns and villages in the region.

Following a successful debut last year, the sky over Howth Harbour will once again come alive this New Year’s Eve with a spectacular fireworks display, offering a memorable, family- friendly evening to mark the end of the year.

Fingal County Council will be accepting Christmas Trees for recycling at the following Collection Points from January 2nd  to 16th, 2026.  Please note that only Christmas trees will be accepted at the above locations, other green waste, Christmas tree stands, etc. will not be accepted 

Fingal County Council Offices will close to the public for the Christmas period at 12.30pm on Wednesday December 24, 2025 and will reopen at 9am on Friday January 2, 2026. The Payments Offices will be closed from 3.30pm on Tuesday 23rd.

Fingal County Council, in partnership with ExWell Medical, has started a new ExWell Medical exercise rehabilitation programme in Blakestown.

Fingal County Council has been re-certified as an Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer for the maximum duration of three years.
