All Prior Warnings and Do Not Swim Prohibitions removed from Fingal beaches.

In Bathing Water Sample Analysis for all Fingal Beaches from samples taken last Friday 25 July the results from all beaches met the “Excellent” classification standard for Bathing Waters.

In Bathing Water Sample Analysis for all Fingal Beaches from samples taken last Friday 25 July the results from all beaches met the “Excellent” classification standard for Bathing Waters.

Following consultation with the HSE Fingal County Council will today remove prohibition (Do not Swim) notices from the following beaches; Balbriggan, Loughshinny, Rush North, Malahide, Portmarnock and Claremont and the Prior Warning (Advise Not to Swim) notices from the following beaches; Skerries, Rush South, Portrane, Donabate and Sutton.

The usual weekly scheduled sampling will take place today the 28th July in Balbriggan.  Results expected 30th July.

All Beaches will be sampled next week between the 5th August (Balbriggan, Skerries, Loughshinny, Rush N & S, Portrane & Donabate) and 6th August (Claremont, Sutton, Portmarnock and Malahide).

Results will be posted on 7th August, and, 8th August respectively.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
