Join Donal and Michael from Fingal Academy of Music to learn a song from start to finish in this fun dynamic workshop which is sure to create a musical atmosphere that everyone will enjoy at home. Part of a new children’s folksong series, this lively workshop is aimed at all ages and all abilities. Let’s hear you Sing Out Loud, Make Fingal Proud!

While we’re all staying safe and staying at home, why don’t we imagine what it could be like to make our own built environment? What would our house look like? What about our shops?

Join artist Anne Cradden to make some wonderful puppet characters that we can move with our hands! Using things that you can find at home, such as cardboard rolls, old clothes, and socks, she will show you how to make simple sock puppets for toddlers and kitchen-roll puppets for older children. Kids can decorate their creation in any way they can think of, and then we will bring their characters to life in their own puppet theatre!

Emily Matthews, one of Draíocht’s Drama Facilitators, has developed an exciting programme for you. She is setting you a challenge! Are you up for it? Each week you will be given a task that will allow you to express yourself in your own creative way, while developing your drama and performance skills. Challenge Accepted!

Here are some easy videos to help calm the monkey mind and slow down on our thoughts, in the hope that we can calm our mind even just for a sec! Join Jo Quinn of JogaYoga as she takes us on a calming mindfulness journey involving all of the senses.

Genevieve will be showing you how to make an animal and its habitat using found materials from nature. Starting with a walk, she will make a collection of sticks, dried flowers and stones that she will use to make an animal. Back in the studio, she will demonstrate how to construct a creature using sticks, clay and plaster bandage. At this point Genevieve will use drawing skills to help you to imagine the character of the new creature.  What it eats, where it sleeps, what’s its name and what noise does it make.

Join us for a Hot Air Balloon papier-mâché online video workshop with artist Claire Behan. 
You will learn the art of papier-mâché as you build and decorate your own hot air balloon
sculptures.
