Art Explorers Go Wild

Genevieve will be showing you how to make an animal and its habitat using found materials from nature. Starting with a walk, she will make a collection of sticks, dried flowers and stones that she will use to make an animal. Back in the studio, she will demonstrate how to construct a creature using sticks, clay and plaster bandage. At this point Genevieve will use drawing skills to help you to imagine the character of the new creature.  What it eats, where it sleeps, what’s its name and what noise does it make. The creature's habitat will be made using more of the collected materials and finally you will join your creature by adding a small cut-out photo of yourself just to give the new creation some company.

This is the first in a series of 3 Online Workshops by Genevieve Harden, created for Cruinniú na nOg 2020, presented by Draíocht & Creative Fingal.
All workshops will be posted to Draíocht’s Facebook and YouTube Channels, starting on Saturday 13th June 2020 and weekly thereafter.
