The Write Time Festival 2025

Welcome to the Write Time Festival, Fingal Libraries’ annual celebration of creative writing and literature. This is the 10th year of the festival and once again we will be running a library programme in our branches as well as a showcase in the Carnegie Free Library.

The showcase will take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November. This weekend will feature conversations with luminaries such as Kevin Barry, Joseph O’Connor, Cecelia Ahern, Lisa McInerney and many more.

In the lead-up to the showcase, we will be holding literary events and expert-led workshops in our library branches. Attendees will learn about the writing process, improving their craft, and how to make a living in the industry. Whether you’re a reader or a writer, a poet or a playwright, a novice or a wordsmith, there’s something for all book lovers at the Write Time festival.
