Balbriggan has been chosen as Ireland’s first town to be named as a Smart District in a move that will put it at the cutting edge of smart projects to improve services, create jobs and build a better community.
As part of the #RestartFingal initiative to help businesses across the county get back up and running, Fingal County Council is inviting applications from those businesses interested in expanding into the public realm by placing street furniture outside their premises.
The Fingal Libraries Multilingual Storytelling team loves other cultures, languages, and differences in general. Being different is a good thing, and it's great if babies and toddlers can be exposed to other languages, cultures, and ways of being.
The initiative brings together places across the EU with similar issues to focus on identifying and strengthening local economic development opportunities through plans such as Our Balbriggan, and consolidates Ireland’s ties with Europe.

Fingal Sports Office is one of 29 Local Sports Partnerships in the country who are coming together to celebrate a day of physical activity and sport and want you to join in and be active. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Fingal Sports Office has been working hard to ensure the people of Fingal remain physically active.
Cricket Leinster and Fingal County Council have partnered to provide additional support for Fingal clubs to not only restart, but to do so safely and have junior coaching sessions as the centrepiece of relaunching cricket for all in the region.
