Prior warning notice removed from Velvet Strand Portmarnock

Following consultation with the HSE and the fact that there has been no overflow arising from expected rainfall and therefore the potential impact to water quality did not occur the Prior Warning Notice has been removed from Velvet Strand, Portmarnock.

Following consultation with the HSE and the fact that there has been no overflow arising from expected rainfall and therefore the potential impact to water quality did not occur, the Prior Warning Notice has been removed from Velvet Strand, Portmarnock.

The next scheduled bathing water sample for the beach is 29th June, 2020 and results will follow on Wednesday 1st July.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
