Fingal County Council welcomes today’s High Court decision to refuse an application for an injunction to reverse the pedestrianisation of New Street in Malahide.  The judicial review proceedings are to be dealt with at a later date.

Please be advised that the 'Do Not Swim' prohibition notice at Malahide Beach has been lifted following the return to "excellent" quality in the results of latest sampling taken on August 7th and received today.  However the Prohibition at Front Strand Balbriggan has been extended for 72hrs due to a result of "sufficient".

The Mulhuddart Integration Project is being developed to help improve the quality of life for people living in Mulhuddart. The project is aimed at anyone living in the Mulhuddart area from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures.

Please be advised that a temporary Do Not Swim Notice has been issued for 72  hours for Front Strand Balbriggan due to a stormwater overflow at Quay St pumping station yesterday evening due to adverse weather conditions.

Fingal’s Active Travel team are now seeking Expressions of Interest from Sports clubs across Fingal who would like to participate in this programme.

With the support of Fingal County Council and the Commemorations Unit, The Loughshinny & Rush Historical Society in partnership with Historical writer Aidan Arnold have produced a booklet that describes the life and time of John 'Rover' McCann, the Irish Republican Army, the influences that shaped his life and the events that lead to his untimely and brutal death.

Viewers will have an opportunity to see the acclaimed TV special Ireland in Music that celebrates music and Ireland and showcases Fingal locations, as it is set to air again on RTÉ One TV at 7:30pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
