Sustainable Fashion Ireland - workshops to support participating schools in the Relove Fashion Competition

In a world of fast fashion, what is the true cost of our clothing? These online workshops sponsored by Fingal County Council will introduce students to the complexities, of the global fashion industry and the impact it has on both our planet and people. As the industry is now confirmed as one of the world’s most significant contributors to climate change, how can we transition and make sustainable fashion attainable? As young consumers often feel overwhelmed as to how they can join the sustainable fashion movement, Circular Fashion Ireland will navigate students through the world of sustainable fashion, via reuse, repair, upcycling, sustainable brands, who to follow and how to avoid greenwashing. Equipping students with information to aid conscious consumerism thus reduces their clothing’s carbon footprint. These workshops are specifically designed to aid both students and teachers in the planning, research, and development of their competition entry.
