Skerries Harbour Road & Red Island Loop Scheme

What is the scheme?
The Skerries Harbour Road and Red Island Loop Scheme is a project proposed by Fingal County Council. Its aim is to transform Skerries peninsula into a pedestrian-friendly, accessible, and safe space that promotes social interaction and active travel through place-making and public realm enhancements.
The scheme focuses on creating more inviting public spaces with improved footpaths, pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure, and enhanced safety and accessibility. It also aims to streamline parking and improve pathways for better connectivity and smoother movement throughout the area.

What is happening now?
Initial concept designs have been created and we are now seeking feedback from local stakeholders, residents and communities prior to a later Part 8 Planning public consultation.
We welcome your support and input to the project as we aim to enhance Skerries as an attractive place to live, work & visit.
How can I get involved?
We are hosting a public information session where which gives you the opportunity to learn more about the proposed project, speak to the project team, share your thoughts, and input to the design process.
