Fingal County Council Arts Office in partnership with Ardgillan Castle is delighted to announce visual artist Maria Atanackovic as the recipient of the Ardgillan castle studio award.

Due to an overflow at the pump station in Rush South, it has been decided to place “Do Not Swim” signs at Rush South and Portrane beaches.

In Bathing Water Sample Analysis for all Fingal Beaches from samples taken 5 & 6 August the results from all beaches met the “Excellent” classification standard for Bathing Waters, apart from Portrane which was good. Prior warnings now removed.

There are a wide range of events taking place in Fingal including walks, talks, tours, exhibitions and more during National Heritage Week 2025 from August 16th-24th.

Fingal County Council is proud to announce the launch of a new Climate Action Story Map, an interactive digital tool that showcases the diverse and impactful steps the Council is taking to address climate change. 

Weekly sessions offered to senior community members as a recreational outlet, both educational and social. 

MARA, the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority, have approved Fingal County Council’s application for the construction of a coastal protection scheme at Burrow Beach in Portrane where there have been issues with coastal erosion in recent years.
