Results of the samples taken on 9th August for the Burrow beach, Sutton and Velvet Strand, Portmarnock have met the standard for “excellent” and Claremont beach, Howth has met the standard for “sufficient”. In addition, the water quality at Malahide beach (non-identified bathing water) also met the standard for “excellent”.

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority (ANCA) has undertaken a review of the effectiveness of noise mitigation measures in place at Dublin Airport. ANCA defined a Noise Abatement Objective (NAO) for Dublin Airport during 2022 and this objective is based on the impact of aircraft noise across a full calendar year.
